Taking the tractor back in time

On Saturday, I went to visit the Half Century of Progress show in Rantoul, Illinois. What an experience. However, having the show on an old Air Force base has its ups and downs. Lots of tractors and LOTS of walking. It was fun seeing some of the machines working.

After dropping Ryan off for school in Kalamazoo, I stopped in Benton Harbor to photograph its lighthouses. The lighthouse was open for tours, and I reflected on the labor involved in maintaining them historically. Two lighthouses, differing in height, helped guide ships into the port.

Ready, Set…..

 I love construction—heck, I love all industries. Going into a factory and photographing is one of the most fun things I can do. It is the best way to see and Learn about a manufacturing process that most people never see. This image is from the construction at the international terminal at O’Hare Airport.
