This is from a recent outing down the old Santa Fe mainline which is now the BNSF’s high-priority freight line between Chicago and Southern California. This line is also known as the Southern Transcon. I love to get out on a nice day to photograph, listen to a good book, and explore. I pick one of the many busy rail lines we have here to follow out into the county. There’s a lot to discover, traveling from one small town to the next.
