Setting the Stage
I had the privilege of photographing Elise’s Goddaughter Anna and her family a bit ago. They were passing through the area on their way to see family, and we had the opportunity to spend some time visiting. We were also able to squeeze in a session. I had the privilege of photographing Elise’s Goddaughter Anna… Continue reading

Season’s Last Trip
As we march towards winter, here is a reminder of fun in the sun at the beach. Beverly Shores is more accessible at this time of year. I wish the kids weren’t so busy now that they are in high school. The trip would have been fun to have them along. Let us just say the visit… Continue reading

Where to Next?
It’s so much fun letting little ones wander. In their exploration, I wonder what the grand story is and what the arrow on the pavement means. Lining up perfectly.. ready.. set…… Over the many years photographing little ones I’ve noticed that the hands are a great way to see their thinking. At this age, the… Continue reading

I stand still or move slowly, feeling things like the impulse of shapes, the direction of lines, the quality of surfaces. I frame with my eye (sometimes with my hands) as the ground glass would frame. Nothing that one could reasonably call thinking is taking place at this stage. The condition is total absorption; the decision (a picture!) is spontaneous. – Aaron Siskind, 1955
