As the weather in Northern Illinois changes to something more wintry, I felt like reliving a bit of our trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this summer. I can see why some people like summer cottages on lakes. This was a fantastic time. So peaceful and so quiet. It is almost too quiet for one used to a certain base level of noise from cars, planes, and neighbors. You know, life in the suburbs of a large American city.
