Beautiful rainy evening in Leeds. I thought I’d be bothered by the rain, but no. When it rains at home, I run and dodge to stay dry. In England, I was not so worried, and most of the people around us seemed in the same mood. So when in Rome…

I shouldn’t have been surprised at all the rain we had over the visit. I mean, I did watch all those Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies, and well, it’s always raining in those. No color, though, so I brought color to the visit.

Once again, I defaulted to my iPhone. To be honest, I didn’t shoot that much with my Leica. The folks back home were chomping for daily images, and I didn’t travel with a laptop so processing the Leica and uploading is tough. The lasting reverberation from this is my questioning my personal camera. Don’t get me wrong, I do really like the camera I have, but… I think how I’m shooting has shifted over the years, combined with the expectation around image accessibility its forcing me to look at options. The problem, I don’t like the options I’m seeing on the market. Oh well, such a nice problem to have. Just keep shooting, in the end, the camera don’t matter that much.
