There is nothing like the view from roads that aren’t the expressway. On this trip, I decided to see something and give myself a little treat. I started with Illinois Route 1 to Momence. Then I wove my way over to US 41 and took that down to Veedersburg. I would have gone down to Terre-Haute, but that put me too far west to get to Lousiville without adding an extra hour or so of driving. With all the stops, I had already added 2 hours or so to the drive, and this would have been too much. I must save some places to get to in the future.`
This was my view while truckin’ down US41 on my way to Imaging USA. Most of my drive was in fog, which made for some interesting sights.
Indiana cloud fluffing machines. This is why the state is renowned for its pretty clouds next to the skying hills for Terre-Haute.
I even got to see some train action. A fairly large cut of cars is being shoved into a steel plant in Attica, Indiana. The Bennie’s of taking the back roads.
