Everything is getting a bit relaxed….

This is an image from my visit back to my high school for my reunion a few years back

It sure is getting relaxed…. or maybe just lax, no re needed.   It’s hard to believe but It’s now day 49 of the shut-in and there are at least another 31 days to go.  It’s amazing how you have this time before you and you know that it’s like an open calendar but it still feels like the time just slips away.  Kind of like getting to your birthday, mine was on the 22nd of April, and you look back and wonder.  I feel like high school and college were just a bit ago but then it seems so far away. Where did the time go? Well, 31 to go, let’s see what we can make of this.  So this will be the first of 31 shut-in posts in May where I do more than post a pic.

I stand still or move slowly, feeling things like the impulse of shapes, the direction of lines, the quality of surfaces. I frame with my eye (sometimes with my hands) as the ground glass would frame. Nothing that one could reasonably call thinking is taking place at this stage. The condition is total absorption; the decision (a picture!) is spontaneous. – Aaron Siskind, 1955
