I know it’s been hot, but I have to say that I have been having a blast doing outdoor portraits with the kids. It’s particularly fun when the brothers are buddies, the big brother is looking out for the little brother, and the little brother wants to do everything the big brother is doing. It keeps me young… This is from a session Elise and I did at Little Red Schoolhouse. We had fun looking for fish and turtles, and we even saw a good-sized crayfish. It was good boy stuff.

I stand still or move slowly, feeling things like the impulse of shapes, the direction of lines, the quality of surfaces.
